PLACING ORDERS: It is recommended that custom orders be placed at least 1 week in advance, as this allows for timely preparation of any customization needed. You may utilize the form in the ‘Contact’ tab to start the order process, contact via email at mommycakesde@gmail.com, or send a direct message on any of my social media platforms. The more notice you give, the more time I have to make your custom item spectacularly unique!

DEPOSITS: A 50% non-refundable deposit is necessary in order to place an order. This can be made via Venmo (Lgordon1105), CashApp ($MommyCakesDE), PayPal, Apple Pay, or a payment link via Square. Cash is also accepted, although not preferred. The remaining 50% balance will be due 1 week prior to your order's due date (unless otherwise noted). If a deposit is not received, your order is not confirmed. If you place a deposit but fail to pay the remaining balance 1 week prior to the order's due date, your order will be cancelled.

REFUNDS: MommyCakes, LLC does not issue refunds due to the time, preparation, ingredients, and décor costs that accrue for your order once we receive your order deposit. 

 

RETURNS: MommyCakes, LLC does not accept any returns on items once they leave our hands and enter yours. 

 

PICKUP: Pickup is the preferred option for getting your goodies to you! After your order is placed and confirmed, I will contact you directly to determine a pick-up day and time. When this day and time is communicated, PLEASE WRITE IT DOWN and stay to this date and time. If any changes must be made, PLEASE contact me to let me know. If you do not show up on the day and at the time agreed upon, and there has been no communication from you concerning changes, you are forfeiting your time to retrieve your order.

DELIVERY: If delivery is a necessity, a charge of $25 is implemented for any travel within a 10-mile radius of MommyCakes, LLC, and an additional $2.00 per mile to your destination exceeding that radius.

ACCURACY OF INFORMATION: PLEASE double check that all information, specifically the date and time communicated for when your goodies are needed, is accurate. I will not assume responsibility, issue refunds, or agree to cancel a processed order due to an error in communicating information accuracy on the customer's end. It is your responsibility to contact me immediately at mommycakesde@gmail.com if you have submitted your order with any incorrect information. 

 

DESIGN: Pinterest is a lovely thing, but please keep in mind that any photos sent for inspiration will not be exactly replicated. Picture inspos are a great way to give me an idea of what you’d like, but each baker and decorator has their own unique techniques and materials, so EXACT replication is unlikely. I will be sure to take your ideas and make them as special and unique as you want them! This includes colors, flavors, and characters.

CARE AND KEEPING OF YOUR ITEMS: Custom cakes and cupcakes made with American buttercream do NOT need to be refrigerated or the cake will dry out.  Leave buttercream desserts out at normal room temperature, avoiding the sun or extreme heat. 

 

HANDOFF POLICY:  MommyCakes, LLC is NOT responsible for your baked goods once they leave our hands and enter yours. I strive to take care of your items when they are within my responsibility, and I assume you will take the same precautions. What happens to your items once handoff has occurred is no longer my responsibility. 

 

GLUTEN FREE DISCLAIMER: MommyCakes, LLC is not a gluten-free kitchen and cannot ensure that cross contamination will never occur. I have cleaning protocol in place to minimize that happening but there may be gluten in the air. Please be advised that all of the food is prepared in a common kitchen and that MommyCakes, LLC cannot guarantee that cross-contact with other gluten-containing products will not occur. 

 

NUT ALLERGY DISCLAIMER: MommyCakes, LLC is not a nut-free kitchen and cannot ensure that cross contamination will never occur. While peanuts or tree nuts may not be a key ingredient in every one of my items, all of the menu items are produced in the same area where products containing various nut items are created. Though best practices are used in the preparation of menu items, inadvertent cross-contamination may occur. There is protocol in place to minimize that happening but there may be nut particles in the air in the bakery. Please be advised that all food is prepared in a common kitchen and that MommyCakes, LLC cannot guarantee that cross-contact with other products containing peanuts or tree nuts will not occur.  If you are highly sensitive or allergic to peanuts or tree nut products, please know that I will do my best but cannot guarantee your order will not touch a nut product somewhere in the process. As a result, I cannot recommend this for people with nut allergies. Therefore, with this disclaimer and warning, we will not accept responsibility for any reaction that you may have with this product.
